When you combine components like a 4340 crankshaft, 4340 connecting rods and quality forged pistons, you see the foundation for a great race engine. Then add 23º conventional style cylinder heads to keep the cost down but the power up, a matching roller cam and intake manifold, and you quickly see that the Competition Series drag race series engines can’t be matched for value, horsepower or reliability.
